Henners Vineyard passes WineGB gold winery audit
7th March 2025
WineGB announced that an East Sussex vineyard and winery, Henners Vineyard, has passed the SWGB Gold Winery Audit, meaning its entire operation is now gold-certified.

The team at Henners Vineyard said that they are “incredibly pleased” to have achieved the Gold SWGB Certification for both the vineyard and winery.
“As founding members of SWGB, sustainability has always been at our core. We’ve worked hard to reduce our carbon footprint, enhance soil health, and promote biodiversity in the vineyard.
“In the winery, we’ve refined our practices—cutting water usage, improving wastewater management, and making every bottle more sustainable.
“But we’re not stopping here. We’re committed to continually reducing our environmental impact and setting new standards for sustainability in winemaking,” they concluded.
Reducing impact on the environment
Sam Williams, operations manager at Henners Vineyard added: “Over the last three years at Henners we have rigorously assessed and amended our winery practices.
“This has led to tangible outcomes, including reduced carbon footprint per bottle, reduced water use per bottle, and we have improved the way we manage our wastewater.
“As a gold-certified member, we will continue to look for ways to reduce our impact on the environment.”
